Be a Self-Healer

So many of us are struggling with sickness

So many more of us don’t know we are sick

Yet every day more of us are diagnosed

Maybe you are one of them.

We suffer quietly.

I know I did.

For 20 years I struggled with symptoms

I was told I was too young to be sick

My symptoms were mysterious

I was called a hypochondriac…

Until I was diagnosed with cancer…

Then I was shown great kindness,

But they looked at me with pity and fear

My days were limited.

I didn’t believe that

I wanted them to believe in my possibilities

I did

Can things change in how we see disease?

In how we offer help?

What will it take?

Diagnosis doesn’t make it real

Prescriptions everywhere

A temporary band aid

Covering the voice of disease

When it creeps upon us stealing

Day upon day, year upon year

The slow assault becomes familiar

Symptoms are talking to you, then screaming

Your body needs your help, it’s not the problem.

Nature is speaking

Don’t dismiss your symptoms

Do something different

Start with what you put in your body

Consider your mindset and beliefs

I had to completely shift

To gain the will

To manage my body

Claim my future

I couldn’t give it to a doctor or drug

I had to believe

Make the impact, and the difference

Commit to aligning with nature

A multi-level approach

Physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Healing starts within you.

Be a self-healer.
